Dr. Cole obtained her master's and doctoral degree from the University of Indianapolis and has provided therapy for over four years in the mental health field, primarily with adults and adolescents. She has worked in a variety of settings including university counseling centers and inpatient addictions centers. Additionally, she has done volunteer work for a partial-hospitalization setting for individuals suffering from eating disorders. Dr. Cole has had specialized training in diversity and has worked with client's with various personal identities. She understands the difficulties that many people face due to stigma and discrimination, and has worked in the community to help reduce the stigma that causes people so much pain and difficulty. She has developed programs in university settings to help people struggling with issues related to stigma, and has developed, and co-facilitated groups for individuals dealing with depression or anxiety, individuals with disabilities, individuals who are dealing with culture shock, and individuals who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender. Dr. Cole has provided individual treatment for people coping with depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress management, as well as individuals who are questioning thier sexual orientation or who identify as transgender and are beginning their transition
